The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends this product as an effective aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin, including sunburn and possibly premature aging. When used regularly in the prescribed manner, this product may also help reduce the potential risk of skin cancer due to overexposure to sunlight.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Cell-Ox Shield® Technology: A key antioxidant technology in the Anthelios sun care range. It combines photostable UVA/UVB filters to deliver broad spectrum protection and powerful antioxidant protection. With Senna Alata, a tropical leaf extract known to defend skin cells in the upper layer of skin against damaging free radicals caused by the sun.
Vitamin E: Tocopheryl acetate is a synthetic, more stable form of vitamin E. It has antioxidant properties to help neutralize damaging free radicals.
Dimethicone: A silicone-based polymer used as a skin protectant to help reduce water loss.
Perlite: A powder derived from volcanic rock. It is able to absorb water or oil and is known to provide a matte finish on skin.
Silica: A type of powder with a spherical bead shape that provides a silky feel and soft focus effect. It is lightweight and is able to absorb a significant amount of oil from skin. La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water: A soothing water sourced in the town of La Roche-Posay in France and a core ingredient in most of our products. It contains a unique combination of minerals, trace elements, and a high concentration of selenium, a natural antioxidant.

Step 1: Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sunscreen ever. Best sunscreen I've ever used. I use it on my face, neck, and arms before I go out. If you use this on more than just your face you'll go through it quick but if you use this as just a face SPF and use a cheaper spray one for the body you'll get more use out of it. Definitely recommend. No white cast and feels lightly moisturizing.

My only qualm is that it burns my eyes so I can't apply it on my upper eyelid. But to be fair, most sunscreens burn my eyes. This does give a bit of a dewy finish so if that's not what you're looking for it may not be ideal. I enjoy it and it doubles as my daytime moisturizer. I have never gotten burnt and it sits beautifully on the skin for a long time even while I work outside as a sweaty paramedic. I will always use this sunscreen!

It's more than 3x Nutragena's non-mineral sunscreen that I've been using for a year. One of my tennis buddies started using your so I decided to try it. I don't think I'll buy another tube, waaay to o expensive.

Sunscreen smells like alcohol and skin burns from it. It was my life’s wrong decision to buy this product. Still regretting that I waste my money buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nectar of the Gods. Absolute must have As a New Englander who gets very little direct sunlight most of the year, I cannot stop raving about this product! I use it daily at home, but it is my absolute MUST HAVE when on vacation - especially on Caribbean vacations. Using other products I inevitably find myself with a burn even if remembering to re-apply religiously, but with LaRoche Posay's Cooling Water sunscreen I have never experienced even a little pinkness. This product does what it says and protects! It also goes on skin like an absolute dream, smells light and fresh without any synthetics, and leaves my skin feeling extra hydrated even in the sun all day. I will never forget to keep sunscreen in my daily skincare regimen since finding this product and I'm grateful to know I'm protecting my skin from aging with such little effort.
