Dr. Kavita Mariwalla is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon specializing in skin cancer removal, aesthetics and general skin health. She is also a wife and a new mom.

Dr. Mariwalla earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from Yale University and later attended the Yale School of Medicine where she was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Mariwalla completed an internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and then returned to Yale-New Haven Hospital for dermatology residency and served as a Chief Resident. A fellowship in advanced dermatologic surgery at Yale followed. After fellowship, Dr. Mariwalla moved to New York where she continues to be heavily involved in teaching residents, treating patients and performing research.

Dr. Mariwalla is the author of several book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles on topics ranging from skin cancer and melanoma to fillers and neurotoxins. In addition, she has written the book Primer in Dermatologic Surgery and appears on national news programs to discuss skin care. Dr. Mariwalla has been quoted in several national magazines including Allure, Elle, Redbook, Prevention, New York Magazine, W and Self. Dr. Mariwalla is passionate about educating her patients on skin care and making the science of skin accessible to everyone.
