Healing thermal spring water rich in selenium

A Powerful Dermatological Ingredient
The unique selenium-rich Thermal Spring Water at the heart of a small village in central France called La Roche Posay flows through La Roche-Posays skincare formulas.

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water is the result of rainwater flowing over vast expanses of limestone rocks, natural reserves of the element selenium, and deep water over 20,000 years old, flowing through the deep sands of the Cenomanian period. Of the highest purity, and with an almost neutral pH, La Roche-Posay thermal spring water is protected from all pollution and not treated in any way until safely packaged.

The complexity and rarity of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water lie in both the stability of its ingredients, which maintains its high selenium content and the physiological balance of the skin.
Selenium, a powerful anti-oxidant protects cells from oxidative stress (one of the causes of skin aging) and plays a fundamental role in cellular preservation. It is used to treat numerous skin problems.

The First European Thermal Dermatology Center
The Thermal Center, the first European center of thermal dermatology, located in La Roche-Posay, is a spa for treating recurrent dermatological diseases that do not respond to traditional treatments. Hydrotherapy is used to treat dermatological conditions, curing its patients through use of this unique and powerful water. The French Medical Academy awarded its state approval in 1865, recognizing its efficacy on the skin. Highly regarded for the quality of its treatments from the beginning, the Thermal Center is able to treat over 7,500 adults and children suffering from skin conditions such as burns, rosacea or eczema each year, thanks to its waters attributes and its dermatologists cutting-edge knowledge.
